Great opening song from Beverly Hills Cop II performed by Bob Seger (of the Silver Bullet Band), a number one song in the US in 1987 (No release in the UK though???). Great Video too
A classic example of when everyone thought the new video effects that came out were cool and should be used VERY HEAVILY in video's.........OMG I'm sure they regret these decitions now.......but at the time i suppose they were cheap to use!!
Great track besides all that though one of Billy's best in my opinion.
Here we have the 1987 remix of Hot in the City with the different video (to the original that is). This version of the track was featured in the Film "Big" with Tom Hanks and was also the theme tun to the TV series "Booker" Starring Richard Grieco.
Classic British dance from 1989, this is the original version of this video (not that other U.S. version made for the U.S. release of the track). Betty Boo (a.k.a. Alison Clarkson) featuring here, before she went solo. On the Beatmasters album "ANYWAYOUWANNA" she is credited as MC Betty Boop but when the single was released they dropped the "P"
Classic track from Bryan Ferry from 1976 then re-released in 1987 (which was featured in the Kellogs Special K ad at the time), the video features Jerry Hall.
After the success with the Beatmasters track Betty Boo (a.k.a Alison Clarkson) released her first solo single "Doin' the Do, today this video sort of reminds me of Britney Spears "Baby one more time" video (obviousley because it's set in a school!!). Anyway this video came first...... Classic UK 90's.
From her first solo album "Boomania"
I was 10 years old when this song came out and I loved it!, but I never played this side of the single (to all you young'uns out there.... back in the 80's when you bought a single it was a 7" Vinyl record with two sides!!!), I always played the b-side (or Actually I think it was the AA side) anyway that side was the "Summer Version" which was a better mix.
This was the last single released from the "Grrr .... It's Betty Boo" album and although bit had lots of airplay on Uk national radio it wasn't that big a hit (at least I bought it!), anyway I havn't seen it up here for a while so I thouht i' add it.
For some reason (probably copyright) the video to this track had the "M" cut out of the line "Check you everyday on MTV" so it just said "Check you everyday on TV" and a few more later in the track, well at the time i edited my own together with it in.........here it is.
For the other version see my other vidz.
